BLUE MANILA, INC. (BMI) was established in November 1983 and is licensed by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), to recruit, process and deploy seabased workers in compliance with MLC 2006.

The Quality of Blue Manila, Inc.'s services has been certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) since 1996 as a quality assured company and is currently certified under ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System under Bureau Veritas.

History-

Our first crew deployment was in December 1983 consisting of 40 crew to 2 VLCCs (Very Large crude carriers) registered under the Iranian flag and trading in the Persian Gulf.
Bulk carriers & supply vessels were then added to the manned fleet.

The vessels were under a German owned crewmanagement company based in Cyprus.

In 1984, we continued to supply Officers and Crew to a fleet of heavy lift/project cargo vessels trading worldwide, owned by another German company.

Over the years, we have supplied Filipino Officers and crew to the below various types of vessels under our Principals who are/were based mainly in Asia, Europe & North America namely: Hongkong, Korea & Singapore; Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Faroe Islands, Panama and Switzerland:

  1. AHTS, multicats, workboats, chase/guard vessels/dredgers, tugboats & barge/s
  2. Bulk carriers
  3. Cable laying/supply, transport, recovery and storage
  4. Container vessels
  5. Fishing Vessels
  6. General Cargo; Multipurpose vessels

Blue Manila, Inc. has been awarded by the then Philippine Overseas Employment Administration) POEA as one of the Top Performers in the Philippine Manning Industry for the years 1998, 2002 and 2009.
